Symptoms of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST)
If you are in the early stages of GIST, you may not have symptoms. Many GISTs are discovered following surgery or diagnostic tests that were undertaken for other reasons.
As a GIST grows larger, it begins to cause symptoms that become more noticeable over time. The symptoms of GIST may include:
- Abdominal discomfort or pain
- Sense of abdominal fullness
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Bleeding from within the stomach or intestines
- Fatigue
- Anorexia
- Weight loss
- Urinary problems
