Treatment Reimbursement Support
for Patients

Helping to make GIST treatment available to
more patients

The GIST ALLIANCE is committed to providing access to Kit+ GIST medications available from Novartis Oncology to those patients meeting financial eligibility requirements. In addition, we provide resources to facilitate the reimbursement process for physicians and their patients.

Through a variety of programs, including the Novartis Patient Assistance Program (PAP) and the Novartis Oncology Reimbursement Hotline, we have made a firm commitment to ensuring that patients get the treatments they need.

Novartis Oncology Reimbursement Hotline
1-800-282-7630*

By calling 1-800-282-7630, providers and patients can receive assistance in resolving reimbursement issues and concerns.

The following are the support services provided through this hotline:

Insurance Verification - The program verifies patients' medical benefits, helps determine insurance coverage, and clarifies co-payment obligations.

Denials/appeals - The program assists providers in obtaining appropriate reimbursement.

Coding/billing questions - Program staff can assist providers with questions regarding coding and billing.

Alternative funding searches - Program staff can search for possible assistance for patients with insufficient or no drug coverage and refer patients to other sources of funding that may help alleviate or reduce costs.
